The Alice’s House Board features community leaders with diverse backgrounds in business and non-profit management, whose personal stories and expertise showcase their strong commitment to our mission and sustainability.

Alice’s House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and an all-volunteer organization.

  • Founder and President

    The woman who started (and continues) it all, Janet has been actively involved in countless community projects, including the original Marshfield Mazes Playground and Grad Nite Live, and was crowned Marshfield Citizen of the Year in 1998. With years of experience in restaurants and hospitality, and inspired by her dear friend, Alice Feeney, Janet created this non-profit organization to be welcoming and nourishing for the soul. 

    Living and raising her family in Marshfield since 1981, Janet is firmly rooted in and devoted to the community. “It has been an honor to witness how this sacred space has touched the lives of so many. After the devastating fire, we realized how many lives have been connected to Alice’s House in some way. The community response, the incredibly dedicated team of Board Members, volunteers, donors… everyone came together to rebuild this beautiful home and show that they believe passionately in the mission, vision, and hope it offers to people.”

  • Treasurer & Chief of Staff/Director of Operations

    Most of Rose’s professional career has been spent in senior operations roles and entrepreneurial services, helping develop and implement corporate growth strategies. She got involved with Alice’s House to “help out” with the foundation’s financial management, “which quickly turned into a full commitment and board membership.” Her personal story is just as impressive: a mother to two, grandmother to one, eldest of six siblings, Marshfield resident for 41 years, book club member for 20+ years, and good friend to many.

  • Board Chair & Retired Financial Consultant

    In addition to bringing her financial consultancy expertise to Alice’s House, Meg’s involvement in various philanthropic endeavors–i.e., the Boston College Alumni Board, Council for Women of Boston College, and Vice Chair of the Cardinal Cushing Board–keeps her busy. Based in Marshfield, she also plays golf, pickleball, and tennis, loves to travel, and is a mother of three. Meg hopes, “when guests arrive at Alice's House that they feel welcome, that this is where they're supposed to be and they can breathe a little easier.”

  • Board Member & Custom Home Designer

    Originally from Arlington, MA, Julie grew up summering in Humarock and found herself gravitating back to the area she describes as “a gift,” to set roots for her own family. As a creative soul and designer, Julie is proud to have helped restore Alice’s home. When asked to share three words about Alice’s House, she offers,” Pride: that I could be a part of this wonderful place. Comfort: it’s truly a worry-free zone. Shared: I love when folks come in for the first time, and we’re so excited to share this treasure.” 


  • Board Member & Attorney

    Based in Scituate, Jeff is a partner of Ohrenberger, De Lisi & Harris, LLP, and was instrumental in procuring permits for reconstruction of Alice’s House in 2015. He’s also the former president of “Luca’s Light Foundation, Inc.,” a nonprofit formed in honor of his son, Luca, who died at age three from brain cancer. When he’s not working or spending time with his family, you can find him coaching Little League or listening to Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band. When asked if he prefers sunset or sunrise at Alice’s House, he declares, “Sunrise!”

  • Board Member & Physician

    Growing up and now raising her own children in Marshfield, Gina’s roots run deep into the Alice’s House community. This physician’s “lovely Aunt Julie” introduced her to the magic of Alice’s House, which Gina believes “stems from the house holding space for people to enjoy and explore the cornerstones of humankind: family, friendships, love, connection to self, and connection to others.” When asked for three words to best describe Alice’s House, Gina confidently shares, “Calm. True. Grounded.”

  • Board Member

    In addition to bringing her multi-faceted marketing expertise to Alice’s House, Janet has personally experienced its beautiful healing power. She and her family celebrated her twins’ fourth birthday there, about a year before her son Dean passed away from medical complications, and then again later to reconnect with those bittersweet memories. To her, “Alice’s House is a place where we have shared memories, and continue to make new ones.” Janet is also on the Marshfield Youth Lacrosse board, and enjoys adventures with her outdoorsy family, including paddleboarding in the summer, skiing in the winter, and beachcombing year-round.


  • Board Member & Commercial & Residential Contractor

    As a Contractor and Realtor with The Firm Real Estate Group, Bill brings 40+ years of industry expertise to helping maintain Alice’s House. His first introduction to Alice’s House was through our ‘Rock Your Heart event, and he was impressed with how Alice’s House “helps families heal.” He calls Marshfield Hills home and enjoys boating, skiing, and trips to Vermont with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His favorite Alice’s House moments include “the first time I read the guest book” and “the sunrises, for sure.” 

  • Board Member & Finance Director/Certified Public Accountant

    A Humarock resident for over 15 years, Pat has become more and more involved with Alice’s House, and is particularly proud to have his children help “engage and spread positive energy” at ‘Rock Your Heart events. After spending 20 years at a CPA firm in Boston, then leading the finance function for a South Shore manufacturing company, Pat is always looking for ways to give back and has served as an advisor for several local nonprofits. His large, close-knit family inspires his work with Alice’s House. A sunrise fan, Pat sees them as a sign that “the best is yet to come!”
